It’s a pretty cozy place. Once again, they have some nice hanging Edison cage-style lamps like many of the other shops nowadays. They have some original black and white wall art that is kind of nice. They also have a really cool carved wooden dear head on the wall. I really appreciated that.
They have decent AC and comfy chairs. It’s very bright inside, as the entire outside wall is a window, and they have some outdoor seating. It is right on a busy road though, so outside is a bit noisy. One draw back is that it isn’t non-smoking, so if there are a lot of people smoking, it can get smoky. This hasn’t been a problem for me yet though.
The coffee shines here. They use coffee roasted by Koffiesome and have a few options available. They even have some custom blends for espresso. I must also add that the owner, Qiqi, is perhaps the best barista in Jogja. She even has some barista and latte art classes available upon request. It’s a good price for good coffee.
Brewing Methods: V60, AeroPress
Single Origin? yes, 3 options
I would definitely recommend going to He & She. The coffee is superb. Qiqi is even functioning as lead barista and trainer at Cafe Brick, a super big, London themed shop on the north side. I also hear the food is pretty good there, although I’ve yet to try it.
